Top Results at the RM Sotheby’s London 2025 Classic Car Auction

The 2015 Ferrari FXX-K Evo was the most expensive car sold in the RM Sotheby’s London 2025 classic car auction. One of just 60 examples, finished in Bianco Italia with Rosso Fuoco and Argento accents and upgraded to Evo specification, the XX Programme supercar achieved £4,730,000 ($6.3 million) — RM Sotheby’s sold two FXX cars in Zurich in October 2025.
Another hypercar, but road-legal, was the 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé, presented in the ultimate one-of-a-kind “Anemos” configuration, sold for £2,226,875 — nearly $3 million. A Valkyrie Spider sold for $3.4 million at Broad Arrow Zurich on the same day.
Italian classics also performed well. The pre-war and very rare 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Spider sold for £2,817,500, while the 1932 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport Series V Spider by Touring achieved £972,500.
Demonstrating that great sports racing cars of the post-war period are still in great demand, the 1954 Maserati A6GCS, a five-time Mille Miglia participant, brought £1,748,750, exceeding its high estimate.
Other notable results included the 2015 McLaren P1 GTR, a limited-production hypercar in excellent condition, which achieved £1,310,000, while the 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 by Bertone, finished in factory-correct Bleu Miura, sold for £1,298,750 following a recent Scartapatti restoration.
Most Expensive British Registration Number Plate Ever

The RM Sotheby’s London 2025 classic car auction also included the most expensive British car registration number plate ever. UK registration number “1F”, a very rare two-digit number, sold for a record £905,000 ($1,203,650). It was the first time ever for a British number plate to sell for over a million dollar.
The previous record for the most expensive UK number plate was £608,600 ($821,838) paid for “JB1” at the 2025 Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed Sale.
Somewhat disappointingly, “WTF1” only achieved $92,000.
