Top British Car Results at Broad Arrow Zurich 2025

The most expensive car sold at the Broad Arrow Zurich 2025 classic car auction was the 1956 Jaguar D-Type, chassis XKD 551, that achieved CHF 5,181,250 ($6,430,000). It was one of only 87 D-Types produced. Notably, it had never been raced in competitive motorsport, but it is, of course, eligible for historic events such as the Le Mans Classic and Mille Miglia Storica.
The lack of racing history was balanced out by good condition. It was the second-highest price for a D-Type in at least a decade, with only the model and marque record holder being more expensive. The 1956 Le Mans-winning 1955 Jaguar D-Type sold for $21,780,000 at RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2016 — the most expensive British car and most expensive Le Mans winner at the time of sale.
The second-most expensive car in the auction was nearly seven decades younger. A 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider in Gloss Storm Purple achieved strong interest, with bidding closing at CHF 2,706,250 ($3,360,000). The Swiss-market car is one of only 85 produced.
The sale marked Broad Arrow’s second Valkyrie transaction within a month. The 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupe from the collection of Daniel Ricciardo sold for €2,284,375 at Broad Arrow Zoute sale in Belgium, while RM Sotheby’s achieved £2,226,875 — nearly $3 million — for a 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé in London on the same day as the Zurich sale.
Further British cars in the top ten results included a 2014 McLaren P1 and a 1994 Jaguar XJ220.

Two classic mid-century Ferraris were among the top results at the Broad Arrow Zurich classic car auction 2025:
- The 1952 Ferrari 212 Europa Pinin Farina Coupe, first owned by Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman, chassis 0265 EU, sold for CHF 816,250 ($1,010,000). The model is regarded as one of the most significant post-war Ferraris, introducing a new design direction for the marque.
- Always popular and a reliable model selling at many classic auctions, was a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Alloy, sold for CHF 2,312,500 ($2,870,000). This red Rosso Rubino is one of 60 alloy-bodied 275 GTBs and has spent its entire ownership history in Switzerland.
Modern Ferraris also attracted considerable attention, including a 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione A, sold for CHF 1,525,000 ($1,890,000); a 2004 Ferrari 575 GTC “Stradale”, sold for CHF 230,000 ($285,000); and a 2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, sold for CHF 501,250 ($620,000).
From Lamborghini, the very rare 1969 Lamborghini Islero sold for CHF 270,250 ($335,000), while a 2010 Reventón Roadster, one of only 15 examples produced, achieved CHF 1,356,250 ($1,680,000).
