The black-and-yellow 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 ‘Tailor Made’ became the most expensive new car sold for charity ever when it achieved $26,000,000 at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2025 classic car auction. The car was donated by Ferrari and sold to benefit The Ferrari Foundation.
The unexpected $26 million result, which is more than 10 times the regular model price, increased the record price for a new charity lot car from the $10,043,000 paid for a similarly donated extra 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta at the RM Sotheby’s Ferrari Maranello auction in 2017.
It also increased the price for the most-expensive new car sold at public auction from the €9,792,5000 (US $10,677,74) paid for the one-off 2022 Bugatti Chiron Profilée at the RM Sotheby’s Paris 2023 classic car auction.
The 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the 81st car to sell for over $10 million (nominal) in a public auction, the 21st for over $20 million, and the 13th most expensive car ever.

Even without the remarkable result, the 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 ‘Tailor Made’ is a very special car.
Ferrari produced and sold 599 SP3 cars before deciding to produce this 599+1 car as a charity lot. The 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 ‘Tailor Made’ is finished with a striking two-tone exterior livery of exposed carbon fiber and Giallo Modena. It is also the first Ferrari road car to feature the iconic Ferrari logotype as an unprecedented livery.
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is powered by a naturally aspirated mid-mounted 6.5-liter V-12 producing 829 horsepower without the aid of a hybrid system. The SP3 sprints from 0–100 km/h in 2.85 seconds, while 0–200 km/h arrives in 7.4 seconds.
The 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 ‘Tailor Made’ was produced to US specifications. A basic SP3 was priced from around $2.3 million, but it is doubtful if any left the factory unmodified for a much higher price.
