Bonhams’ Autoworld: The Autumn Sale has been designed with adaptability in mind and can accommodate social distancing requirements. The auction will be held in accordance with government guidance at the time, either as a traditional live auction or as a live behind-closed-doors sale using Bonhams’ online bidding platform, assisted by telephone and commission bidding. Depending on official advice, viewing in person will be available by appointment.

Autoworld is 20 minutes from Brussels central station with its international links to Amsterdam and Paris, and half an hour from the airport.

This latest addition to the European motoring calendar introduces a new venue and a fresh opportunity for our clients to buy and sell their collectible motor cars.

“We are delighted to partner with one of the foremost motoring museums in Europe, Autoworld Brussels for this new initiative. The museum is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Brussels and, thanks to a dynamic calendar of exhibitions, is already a destination for enthusiasts across the region. The only car thus far announced for the auction is a marvelous true classic: a 1928 Mercedes-Benz 630 Model K Open Tourer, Chassis No. 35419, estimate €600,000 – 900,000. The Mercedes was a gold medal winner in the 1928 and 1929 International Alpenfahrt rallies and had only three owners from new.

Autoworld Museum Brussels

The Bonhams’ sale is to be held at the marvelous Autoworld Museum in Parc du Cinquantenaire, Brussels. The museum is home to one of the world’s great collections of classic and supercars.

The around 250 cars on permanent display are mostly from the Mahy Collection — a privately-owned collection of nearly a thousand cars. Temporary thematic exhibitions are also popular. The museum has numerous cars made in Belgian on display — no only Minervas but also lesser-known brands such as Germain, FN, Imperia, Fondu, Vivinus, Nagant, Belga-Rise, and Miesse.

The Autoworld Autumn Sale is in addition to Bonhams’ regular Belgian The Zoute Sale, which is held in early October in the Belgian resort town Knokke-Heist.
