A 2018 Lamborghini Huracan and 1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro were the top results at the Mecum Indy Fall sale in Indianapolis in October 2020.

Mecum held the live Indy Fall classic and collector car auction at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis on 29 – 31 December 2020. Total overall sales reached $13.4 million as an unprecedented 85% of all cars offered at the reserve-based auction hammered sold.

- 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Pro Touring (Lot S84) at $126,500
- 1971 Ford Bronco (Lot S118) at $115,500
- 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 (Lot S138) at $110,000

Top Cars Sold
The Mecum Indy Fall Special’s top seller was a nearly new 2018 Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 (Lot F141) wearing a bold coat of Arancio Borealis orange with just 1,986 miles on its odometer that sold for $187,000.
The Italian supercar was followed closely by a 1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro (Lot S88) with a matching-numbers drivetrain that sold for $165,000, a pro-touring, frame-off restored 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible (Lot S127) that sold for $154,000 and a rare 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E (Lot S81) that brought $132,000.
Three Corvettes made it into the top-sales mix as well with a classic ’63 split-window (Lot S60) selling for $151,250, a contrasting modern 2020 coupe (Lot S101.1) bringing $104,500, and a 2012 ZR1 Centennial Edition (Lot F111) demanding $102,300. Off-road riders would have appreciated the 1971 Ford Bronco (Lot S118) that came in as the auction’s seventh-highest seller at $115,500 and the 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 (Lot S138) that followed it, selling for $110,000.
Private collections were another highlight of the Indy event with at least 10 of them offered throughout the three auction days. Ben and Karen’s Collection saw nine vehicles change hands for a total of $457,600, while Mike’s Camaro Collection reached $446,050 in sales as six of the seven vehicles from the assemblage hammered sold.
