The top regular lot result at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2026, $2,530,000 for a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwind Coupe, turned out to be sold for charity too. Although not an official charity lot, i.e. premium and other auction costs are payable, this fully restored and matching numbers Gullwing was sold to benefit the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation.
