The 1992 Benetton B192 Formula One car, in which Michael Schumacher achieved his maiden F1 race victory, is for sale at a Broad Arrow online auction in Europe in 2026.

A Benetton B192 F1 single-seat racer that Michael Schumacher drove to his first of 91 Formula One grand prix victories at the 1992 Spa-Francorchamps race in Belgium, is offered for sale at the Broad Arrow Global Icons: Europe Online sale in January 2026. The estimate “in excess of €8,500,000” (US $9,975,000) rates it as one of the most valuable modern racing cars ever offered at auction.
Michael Schumacher Benetton B192 F1 at Broad Arrows 2026 Sale
The 1992 Benetton B192-05 Formula One car, in which Michael Schumacher achieved his debut F1 Grand Prix victory, is the latest high-profile Formula 1 racer heading for auction. It is the first time ever that this racing car, in iconic yellow-green Benetton-Camel livery, is offered for public sale.
Michael Schumacher drove the Benetton B192-05 in five Grand Prix races in the 1992 season. A notable second place at the Canadian GP was quickly forgotten after victory at the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. In a race run under tricky weather conditions, Schumacher pitted early for dry tires and sped to his first-ever Formula One GP victory.

Benetton retained the 1992 Benetton B192-05, and it later formed part of the Renault Classic collection. It has never before been offered for sale.
The pre-sale estimate “in excess of €8,500,000” (US $9,975,000) rates it as one of the most valuable modern racing cars ever. It is likely to become at least the seventh most expensive Formula One car ever, and the fifth most expensive modern F1 racer — it is hard to imagine the seller accepting a bid lower than that for a car of such historic significance at a time when Formula One is at a record high popularity.
Given the strong performance of several Formula One cars at public auctions in 2025, it is somewhat surprising that Broad Arrows is offering such a significant car in an online rather than standard classic car auction. The Broad Arrows‘ Global Icons: Europe Online auction will run from 23 to 30 January 2026, roughly the same time as the major Paris Rétromobile 2026 auctions.
