The most expensive car sold at the 2024 Broad Arrow Amelia Island sale was a 1967 Ford GT40 that achieved $4,405,000. It was followed by a 2022 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport that sold for just over $4 million. A blue 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider sold for a strong $3.3 million while an oak-green 1988 Porsche 959 SC Reimagined by Canepa also achieved over $3 million.

Top Results at Broad Arrow Amelia Island 2024 Classic Car Auction
The top result at the Broad Arrow Amelia Island 2024 classic car auction was $4,405,000 paid for a 1967 Ford GT40. This car was one of only 31 GT40 road cars produced and was one of 20 used for press and other promotions by Ford.
The second-highest result was also above $4 million when a 2022 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport sold for $4,047,500. Although this set a new model record for a Pur Sport, it is hardly different from the original list price. It is one of 60 Chiron Pur Sport cars produced and was fitted with almost $400,000 in options. It was sold with only 393 miles on the clock.
The third most expensive car was a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 that sold for $3,305,000. This blue dino metallic version was the 92nd of 121 produced and fully restored. Gooding sold the 44th produce, a Verde Bahram green with an unrestored original interior, for a new model record $3,635,000 the day before.
The Porsche 959 result at $3,085,000 was for an interesting car: this 1988 Porsche 959 was originally one of the 266 Komfort made and was purchased by Nissan for reverse engineering research and development purposes. Between 2019 and 2023, it was reconfigured and sold as a 1988 Porsche 959 SC Reimagined by Canepa. The Oak Green over brown leather car now features Canepa Stage III engine upgrades developing 800+ horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. This Porsche sold for about double what a regular Komfort sells for at auction, although few reach the market with only 1,197 miles on the clock.
