The expected highlight of the 2026 Mecum Kissimee sale in Florida is the unique white 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO “Bianco Speciale”, which is expected to sell for around $50 million as the most expensive Ferrari ever. Three Ford GT40s from the 1960s are on offer: a Mark I, II, and III. Many low-mileage modern Ferraris from the Michael Bachman collection are on sale without reserve, including a 288 GTO, two F40s, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari, LaFerrari Aperta, and FXX.

Mecum’s Kissimmee 2026 collector car auction: 6 to 18 January 2026 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida, USA. Over 4,000 cars, motorcycles, and items of art and memorabilia are on sale.

While most other classic auctioneers are still preparing for the annual Scottsdale and Arizona sales at the end of January, Mecum is already selling and earning at the gigantic Kissimmee auction in Florida, USA.

Results in 2025, as recorded by Hagerty, reached $224M in total sales (down about three percent from 2024), an average price of $67,290 ($79,554), and a sell-through rate of 74 percent (up from 70 percent), although the sell-through rate for $1M-plus vehicles was down notably from 58 percent in 2024 to 32 percent in 2025.

The unique white 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO “Bianco Speciale”, chassis 3729GT, is the undisputed lead car for the 2026 Mecum Kissimmee collector car auction. It is the only 250 GTO delivered by the factory finished in white.

It was originally owned by John Cooms, a prominent British racing team owner, and raced in period by, amongst others, Graham Hill, Mike Parkes, and Jack Sears. It achieved numerous second places overall and some class wins.

This GTO has been raced, repaired, maintained, and refinished, but never fully restored. It is thus considered a highly original car.

Ferrari 250 GTO’s rarely make it to public auctions and are often kept for long periods by the same family. This Biance Speciale was owned from 1970 to 1999 by racing driver Jack Sears and since formed part of the Jon Shirly Collection.

No pre-sale estimate has been released, but when the GTO was announced, there was talk of the final price in the $50 to $70 million range. The current auction record for Mecum is $17,875,000 for a 1963 Ferrari California Spider sold at Kissimmee 2024. (Higher bids failed to lead to sales.)

Ferrari 250 GTO Prices at Public Auctions (2014-2025)

Only three Ferrari 250 GTOs have been offered at public auction since 2014, and all took the title of the most expensive Ferrari ever at the time of sale. (The unique white 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, chassis 3729GT, will headline the Mecum Kissimmee auction in January 2026.)

Ford GT40s at Mecum Kissimmee 2026 Sale

Ford GT40s are rare and expensive, so it is somewhat surprising that three quite different versions are for sale at the Mecum Kissimmee 2026 classic car auction:

1965 Ford GT40 Mk 1, P/1018 — one of 48 race coupes produced and one of only two known to have been driven by Carroll Shelby (at the opening of the Santa Monica highway rather than in a race). It was used a demonstration car by Shelby America and only raced in classic races by later owners, including 11 wins from 13 starts at the Le Mans Classic. It is expected to sell for around $6 million.

1966 Ford GT40 MkII Factory Lightweight, XGT-3 — one of three factory lightweights and one of 11 Mk II cars produced. It is considered the most original survivor, at least in part due to never being raced.

1969 Ford GT40 MkIII, P1/1085 — believed to be the final of the 13 unfinished GT40 chassis to be finished. The original rolling chassis was in storage and was only completed in 2009. It is eligible for vintage racing events.

The Mecum Kissimmee 2026 sale will have a surprisingly large number of high-end Ferraris on offer in addition to the white GTO.

A few further top Ferraris, presumably protected by reserves, include:

  • 2003 Ferrari Enzo — the only one produced in Rosso Dino (orangy-red), 3,746 miles.
  • 1963 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Coupe Aerodinamico — one of 22 long-wheelbase Series II coupes.

  • 1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder — 33rd of 122 produced, three-owner car, estimate $2,500,000 – $2,700,000
