Auction prices of the Ferrari Enzo, produced in 2003 and 2004, increased only gradually for many years. Million-dollar results became more common from around 2012. Although a $6 million Enzo model world record was set in 2015, auction prices above $3 million remained unusual until 2021. From 2023, Enzos regularly sold for over $4 million. The decade-old model record was finally broken in 2026, when it surged to almost $18 million, and five Ferrari Enzo cars sold for over $9 million in two months.

Ferrari Enzo Auction Prices (2003-2026)
The first million-dollar Enzo was the “Pope’s Ferrari,” the 400th and final 2005 Ferrari Enzo, which sold for $1.1 milllion in a special Sotheby’s charity auction in Maranello in June 2005. In the following years, a few Enzos sold for less than a million, but at Gooding Scottsdale 2009, the model record increased to $1,265,000.
At Gooding Pebble Beach 2012, the Enzo model record was increased to $1,430,000. Although a new high of $1,925,000 was set at RM Monterey 2014, results slightly below $1.5 million were still common.
The “Pope’s Ferrari” returned to auction at RM Monterey 2015 — the model record more than tripled to $6,050,000. This world auction record stood for a decade.
From 2015 to 2020, most Enzos sold for less than $3 million, and occasionally even less than $2 million. A notable result was Floyd Mayweather’s 2003 Ferrari Enzo selling for $3,300,000 at RM Sotheby’s New York in 2015.
From 2021, an Enzo result below $3 million became rare. In 2023 and 2024, five Enzos were sold at major auctions, all in the $4 to $4.5 million range. In 2025, few Enzos were offered, and none were sold during major auctions.
Enzo Price Surge in 2026
The Enzo’s breakout surge came in early 2026. A low-mileage 2003 Ferrari Enzo sold at the Mecum Kissimmee 2026 sale for $17,875,000 — more than triple the model record set over a decade earlier. In the same auction, a relatively high-mileage orange-red 2003 Ferrari Enzo sold for $11,110,000. Later the same month, RM Sotheby’s sold Enzos for over $9 million at Arizona and in Paris. At Amelia Island 2026, Broad Arrow sold an Enzo for $15,185,000.
The average price for the five sales in the first quarter of 2026 was almost $12.7 million compared to $4.3 million for the five Enzos sold in 2023 and 2024. The sudden surge is likely to encourage other owners to test the market. Only time will tell if the market has moved permanently or whether a downward correction will follow.
A high-mileage (nearly 12,000 miles) 2004 Ferrari Enzo sold for $7,652,000 — more than a million above top estimate — at the RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026 sale.
The Rosso Dino 2003 Ferrari Enzo was sold in mid-June 2026 for $13,018,950 in an online DuPont Registry sale — reportedly the highest price ever paid for a car in an online auction. Only 12 miles (and around $2 million) were added since its previous sale half a year earlier — now showing 3458 miles.

Ferrari Enzo Model History
The Ferrari Enzo (Type 140) was introduced to the public at the Paris car show in 2002, by which time the model was already mostly sold out. Previous buyers of Ferrari F40 and F50 cars were invited to buy the new Enzo at a list price of around $660,000.
Only 399 Enzos were produced in 2003 and 2004, but in 2005, a 400th and final Enzo was made for Pope John Paul II. He requested that Ferrari sell the car and donated the money to charity.
The three standard Enzo colors were red, yellow, and black — reportedly, only around 20 cars received special-order finishes. Factory modifications for Enzos were very rare. Celebrity ownership, low mileage, and non-standard colors may add to value, but of the top seven most expensive Ferrari Enzos ever, only two were not in the standard base color (and both showed far higher mileage than the other top Enzos).
The Enzo inspired the track-only FXX series, while the Maserati MC12 is a direct derivative. The Enzo, which was only produced as 2-door berlinettas, was preceded by the F50 (targa, 1995-1997) and followed by the LaFerrari (2013-2016 coupes and 2016-2018 targa / Aperta).
The Ferrari Enzo is a contemporary of the Porsche Carrera GT, which also enjoyed a sudden auction price boost in early 2026. The Ferrari is the rarer car — 400 Enzos vs 1270 Carrera GTs — and auction prices are around three times higher.
Special Case: The Pope’s Ferrari Enzo
Early in 2005, Ferrari announced that a 400th and final Enzo would be produced as a gift to Pope John Paul II. The Pope requested that the car be sold for charity. Sotheby’s sold the only 2005 Enzo in June 2005 in Maranello for €1,055,000 ($1.1 million), or about double the price of a standard Enzo.
The same 2005 Ferrari Enzo was sold by RM Sotheby’s at Monterey 2015 for $6,050,000 — a model record that stood until January 2026 at Mecum Kissimmee.
The Pope never drove the car, and seemingly neither did the first owner. It had only 179 km (111 miles) on the clock at the time of the 2015 Monterey sale.
