A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider was the most expensive car sold in the RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 classic car auction, which also included another series of top hypercar sale results.

Although the top result at the RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 was for a classic black 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider by Scaglietti, modern hypercars again stole the show. Several set new world moder records in the auction, including for a LaFerrari coupe, Porsche Carrera GT, and Bugatti Bolide.

Million-Dollar Results at the RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 Sale

1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider
The 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider by Scaglietti (Chassis 1431 GT) sold just above estimate for $7,045,000, as the most expensive car in the RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 classic car auction. It was a solid and respectable result, partly reflecting that the market’s attention is more on modern hypercars at the moment.
Chassis 1431 GT was the 28th of 50 LWB California Spiders produced and one of just 30 steel-bodied examples, factory-equipped with covered headlamps and drum brakes. The Ferrari has been restored several times and is finished in the current livery of nero paint over a nero leather interior.
Top Modern Ferrari Results at RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 Sale

As at auctions earlier in 2026 at Kissimmee, Arizona, and Paris, modern hypercars sold well and several new model records were set:
2015 Ferrari LaFerrari
A 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari sold for $6,880,000, as the second most expensive car result in the RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 classic car auction. It increased the model record set earlier in the year at the Mecum Kissimmee 2026 auction. It is the sixth standard LaFerrari sold for over $5 million — four of which were sold in the last two months.
This 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari conforms to what is popular in the current market. Low mileage (554 miles), single owner, a fairly rare color scheme of black over black, and a couple of distinct options.

1992 Ferrari F40
Only a handful of Ferrari F40s have ever sold for over $5 million. The $5,230,000 paid for the 1992 Ferrari F40 is the third-highest auction price ever for a standard F40. Only two F40s sold at Mecum Kissimmee 2026 achieved more.
The F40 was an extremely late production Italian home-market F40 is a hallmark example of Ferrari’s 40th-anniversary icon, with exceptional originality and preservation throughout. Showing 1,418 kilometers (approximately 882 miles), it retained abundant factory witness markings, body numbers, and exposed carbon fiber, and was awarded a Cavallino Platinum Award at the 2025 Palm Beach Cavallino Classic.
Other Top Modern Hypercar Results at RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026
Further top modern hypercar results at the RM Sotheby’s Miami 2026 classic car auction included:
2024 Bugatti Bolide

Bugatti produced only 40 Bolide track-only cars, but this is the second one RM Sotheby’s has sold within a month. The $4,955,000 result for the 2024 Bugatti Bolide at Miami is just more than the $4.8 million achieved at Paris 2026. Not surprisingly, the Bolide was sold with only the 77 factory test miles on the clock.
2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster

The 2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster was similarly basically new with only 312 miles on the clock. It was the 39th of 100 built and finished in Rosso Dubai with exposed carbon fibre details.
2005 Porsche Carrera GT

The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT sold for a new model-world record price of $3,305,000. This US-specification car is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Ascot Brown and Natural Black leather. It had only 603 miles on the clock (but receipts for a $89,395 service in 2025).
