Million-Dollar Car Results at RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee Sale 2026

Three cars sold for over a million euros at the RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee 2026 sale:
- The 2009 Ferrari 599XX Evo was the most expensive car sold in the sale at €2,536,250.
- The 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione sold for €1,467,500.
- The 2004 Porsche Carrera GT sold for only €1,445,000.
2009 Ferrari 599XX Evo
One of the earliest cars built and approximately the fourth of 45 examples, this 599XX Evo was upgraded to the highly desirable Evoluzione specification in 2012. Finished in the Ferrari colour of Rosso Fuoco, it has only had two private owners from new and has been maintained by the factory’s XX Programme division.
2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione
The 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione was one of 999 coupé examples built of the track-focused Ferrari 812 Competizione. With one registered owner from new, it has covered a mere 1,587 kilometres and is extensively configured via the Ferrari Personalisation Programme, finished in the historic, special-order shade of Canna Di Fucile with a Giallo Fly racing stripe.
2004 Porsche Carrera GT
Of the million-dollar results at the RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee 2026 sale, the 2004 Porsche Carrera GT was the most interesting result. At $1,652,531, the price was around a million dollars less than the cheapest of at least seven Carrera GTs sold thus far in 2026.
A year ago, a result of $1.5 million would have been totally respectable, but Porsche Carrera GT prices have ballooned in recent months. The current Porsche Carrera GT model record is $6,715,000, set at the Broad Arrow Amelia Island auction on 6 March 2026.
The price at Tegernsee is probably not going to influence the price trend much. This 2004 Porsche Carrera GT had a troublesome history. Delivered new to the United States, it had its engine replaced under warranty and was subject ot a Manufacturer Buyback as part of the “Lemon Law”. Reconfigured by the Porsche factory, it was sold in the European market. It also has been in some kind of accident in 2009 and was sold without a current road registration.
Furthermore, in the weeks preceding the sale, the German motoring press reported on the Porsche being involved in some unclear ownership structure and persons involved in some unresolved fraud cases. The car itself might be fine, and with 24,121 recorded kilometres, it was probably a great buy for someone intending on actually driving the car. However, it may take some effort to sort out the paperwork.
The Carrera GT was delivered new in GT Silver Metallic over Ascot Brown leather seats, but was later repainted by the second owner in “Lamborghini Reventón” matte grey.
