Record 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach
The most expensive car sold at the RM Sotheby’s Houston Texas 2023 car auction was a 2015 Porsche 918 ‘Weissach’ Spyder that sold for a new model world record $3,937,500. This stunning result was nearly a million dollars over its high estimate and exceeded the previous record for the model by nearly $2M — $1,980,000 paid at Mecum Indianapolis 2019.
The crown jewel of The White Collection, this 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder was delivered new to The White Collection and had only 12 miles on the clock. Finished in paint-to-sample Grand Prix White (9A5) with color-matched magnesium wheels, over full LTS Yachting Blue leather and Bianco Leda piping, it was custom-specified by the consignor with over $96,000 of bespoke tailoring from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, as well as the desirable Weissach performance package. An extensive assortment of original 918 accessories accompanied the car, which is the only 918 Spyder ever produced with this specification (Presale estimate: $2,500,000 – $3,000,000).
