Also in 2001, the L88 was awarded the NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence and NCRS National Top Flight with a score of 98.4. Its 427/430 HP L88 V-8 engine features a 4-barrel carburetor, 12.5:1 compression, and a high-lift cam, all backed by a Muncie M22 4-speed manual transmission.
