RM Sotheby’s announced a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider to headline the 2026 Monaco classic car auction.

An exceptional 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider by Scaglietti, estimated at $17 to $19 million, is expected to be the most expensive car on offer at the biennial RM Sotheby’s Monaco sale during the 2026 Monaco historic Grand Prix weekend. It is likely to be the star of the sale despite the presence of several modern hypercars, including a high-mileage Ferrari Enzo and a LaFerrari.
RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026 Classic Car Auction

RM Sotheby’s traditionally arranges a classic car auction every second year during the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique weekend. The 2026 sale is scheduled for 25 April 2026 at the Grimaldi Forum.
The record RM Sotheby’s result in Monaco was €15,980,000 ($18,392,980) for the 2001 Ferrari F1, chassis 211, which Michael Schumacher drove to victory at the Monaco and Hungarian GP races to secure his fourth world championship at the special Grand Prix de Monaco 2025 sale.
