For the second time in 2026, Mecum is offering a stunning collection of top-end Ferraris at public auction. The so-called M Group Collection cars are on sale, many without reserve, at the Mecum Indy sale in mid-May 2026. The most expensive car is likely to be the classic 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder. Modern Ferraris on sale include an Enzo, LaFerrari, F50, and F40.

Mecum Indy 2026 Collector Car Auction

Mecum’s annual Indy collector car auction: 8 to 16 May 2026 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205, USA.

The most expensive cars are on offer on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The Indy auction is usually one of the most important sales of the year for Mecum. The only bigger auctions are usually the mega Kissimmee auction in mid-January in Florida and Monterey in mid-August in California.

Ferraris on Offer at Mecum Indy 2026

Mecum stunned the collector car auction world with several world record results for the Bachmann Ferraris at the Mecum Kissimmee 2026 auction. Although not as exclusive as the Bachmann collection, the Ferraris from the M Group Collection, which Mecum is offering at Indy 2026, will be keenly watched.

Buyers and sellers of top-end Ferraris are keen to see if the spectacular modern Ferrari results achieved earlier in 2026, at Kissimmee, Paris, Miami, and Amelia Island, will be repeated.

Although modern Ferraris made the strongest price gains at recent auctions, few cars can beat the kudos and allure of a classic Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider. California Spider prices increased strongly from 2014 to 2017, but have been more stable, blue-chip investments in recent years.

The 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder, chassis 4137GT, was the last of the 56 SWB California Spiders produced. It is a fully restored car that retained its original chassis, body, engine, and gearbox. This covered headlight version, with a known history from new, is finished in red over tan.

For market watchers, this 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder, chassis 4137GT, is a very interesting car. Fewer than a third of the 106 California Spiders produced have been offered at public auction in the past two decades, and there was only one repeat sale for an SWB since 2008. However, chassis 4137 was sold at Mecum Kissimmee 2024 for $17,875,000, so it is heading back to auction fairly quickly for this model. At the time of the 2024 sale, it was the most expensive car ever sold by Mecum and the third-highest for a non-competition SWB California Spider.

Modern Ferraris on Sale at Mecum Indy 2026

Several top modern Ferraris are on offer at Mecum Indy 2026. The quality of several is good enough for results to either confirm or refute the astronomical prices of early 2026.

2003 Ferrari Enzo

Ferrari Enzo prices more than tripled in less than a year, and the 2003 Ferrari Enzo at Mecum Indy 2026 certainly has the credentials to match some of those around $10 million results. It is one of only six finished in grigio titano (titanium silver) and the only silver over pelle rosso car. The mileage at 3,025 is not particularly low, but it is lower than the orange-red one that sold for over $11 million at Kissimmee 2026. It is unlikely to threaten the world model record of almost $18 million set at the same sale.

Top Ferrari Enzo Prices at Auction (2003 to 2026)

All top Ferrari Enzo prices paid at public auction exceeding $5 million (nominal, including premium):

Note:

In 2015, a 2005 Ferrari Enzo (originally owned by the Pope) sold for a model record of $6 million. It took eleven years for the second Enzo result to exceed $5 million, and then it happened four times in one month in January 2026.

  • Next car to test the market: a high-mileage, silver 2004 Ferrari Enzo, estimate $5,340,000 – $5,8000, at RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026 (25 April).

1995 Ferrari F50

The 1995 Ferrari F50 is an early production car — the 36th of 349 produced — in European specification. It has a relatively low odometer reading of only 1,357 km.

2014 Ferrari LaFerrari

The 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari at Mecum Indy 2026 is a delivery-mileage — 56 miles — US specification model. It’s black on black and basically unused and like new.

Other Top Ferraris at Mecum Indy 2026

Other interesting top Ferraris on offer at Mecum Indy 2026 include:

  • 1991 Ferrari F40 — a low-mileage (1,771 miles), US-specification model. Three of the four F40s sold at major auctions in 2026 achieved more than $5 million.
  • 2012 Ferrari LaFerrari Prototype MP1 — with a relatively high 36,079 km on the clock. (These prototypes may usually not be converted for street use by private owners. P2 sold for $2.4 million at RM Sotheby’s Arizona 2026.)
  • 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 — restored to the original scheme of Giallo yellow over black, which always suits this model.
  • Two 1971 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyders — both cars have some cinema connections. The rare silver one (1 of 14) formerly belonged to Sydney Pollack. The red one belonged to Warner Bros Pictures and is believed to have been used in the filming of both “The Gumball Rally” and “A Star is Born (1976).”
