The presale estimate was €14,500,000 – €16,500,000 ($16,830,000 – $19,151,000).
The previous model-record holder, the ex-Alain Delon 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, stood for more than a decade. That California Spider was sold by Artcurial in Paris in 2015 as part of the barn-find Baillon Collection for €16,300,00 ($18,649,760 million at the time of sale).
The only higher California Spider result ever was for a competition version: the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider Competizione, which sold for $25,305,000 at Gooding Christie’s Pebble Beach 2025.
The Monaco auction Ferrari was the 26th of 56 short-wheelbase California Spiders built and one of only 39 originally fitted with covered headlamps. It was originally delivered to the Auto-Becker in Düsseldorf, who presented it at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. It was restored after 2019 and refinished in Blu Scuro over a red interior with a silver hardtop.

Top Modern Ferraris Sale Results at RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026

The results of the three top modern Ferraris on offer at the RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026 classic car auction were eagerly awaited following the exuberant results already achieved in the first quarter of 2026 for similar models.
However, in contrast to the sales in the US and Paris in the first quarter of 2026, these three Ferraris are all European-specification hypercars showing relatively high mileage. All three achieved top prices.
2004 Ferrari Enzo in Argento Nürburgring Silver

Ferrari Enzos have been keenly watched after a yellow 2003 Ferrari Enzo tripled the model record to almost $18 million at Mecum Kissimmee in January 2026. Since then, four more Enzos have sold for over $9 million, while the model record was $6 million since 2022.
The 2004 Ferrari Enzo at RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026 failed to reach these heights, but the €6,530,000 (USD 7,652,000) was well above the presale estimate of €4,900,000 – €5,300,000 ($5,341,000 – $5,777,000).
The modest presale estimate was due to the relatively high mileage for the model — just over 19,000 kilometres (11,800 miles) since leaving the factory. That is over 8,000 miles more than any other Enzo to have sold for more than $5 million at auction.
The 2004 Ferraro Enzo was one of only nine finished in Argento Nürburgring, a shade of silver that pays homage to the famous German circuit. It is one of only five silver Enzos featuring a contrasting Rosso hide interior. It was delivered new to the UK via Maranello Concessionaires Ltd.

The 2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo, car #87, was finished in a striking dark red over black. It is a single-owner car, but the mileage of 4,500 kilometres (2,800 miles).
2014 Ferrari LaFerrari in Signal Green

Of the seven LaFerraris to ever have achieved over $5 milion, four were sold in the first quarter of 2026, and this green one at the start of the second quarter. (Two more are due to test the market in May 2026.)
The 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari at RM Sotheby’s Monaco 2026 sold for €5,067,500 (USD 5,938,000) — well above the presale estimate of €4,000,000 – €4,500,000). It is a relatively high-mileage car with 12,042 kilometres (7,500 mi) on the clock.
However, it came with a unique color and star ownership history. Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay ordered this LaFerrari in Extra Campionario Signal Green over black and green leather — the only example of the 499-strong production run finished in that colour. It is also one of only 50 cars to feature an exposed carbon fibre roof.
