2026 RM Sotheby’s Monterey Sale (Top Ferraris Preview)

Modern Ferraris, including a Daytona SP3, LaFerrari, Enzo, F50, F40, 288 GTO, and Luce, are on offer at RM Sotheby’s Monterey Car Week 2026 classic car auction.

The most expensive Ferrari at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 sale is a yellow 2023 Daytona SP3 from the Icona series with an estimate of $10,000,000 – $12,000,000. The auction will also include “Big Five” Ferraris, all in Rosso Corsa red, and most with low mileage: a 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO, 1991 Ferrari F40, 1995 Ferrari F50, 2003 Ferrari Enzo, and 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari. The first production 2026 Ferrari Luce, the first ever all-electric Ferrari, is offered as a charity lot.

Top Modern Ferraris on Sale at RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026

The most expensive Ferraris on offer at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 classic car auction are modern supercars, including a Daytona SP3 from the exclusive Icona series, a full set of the Ferrari Big Five, and the first production Luce as a charity lot.

Icona Series 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3

The 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the most expensive Ferrari on offer at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 classic car auction. Only three Daytona SP3 cars have ever been sold at public auction.

Named in tribute to Ferrari’s legendary 1-2-3 finish at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona, the Daytona SP3 is the third model in the marque’s exclusive Icona Series, pairing dramatic 1960s-inspired styling with an 829-horsepower naturally aspirated V-12. This Atelier-configured, two-owner example is finished in Giallo Triplo Strato with Nero racing stripes. The car shows only 227 miles despite two owners.

Ferrari produced only 600 Daytona SP3s, of which most were sold to previous buyers of the Monza SP1 or SP2 Icona series cars. A basic SP3 was priced from around $2.3 million, but it is doubtful if any left the factory unmodified for a much higher price.

“Big Five” Ferraris on Offer at RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026

The RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 classic car auction presents a rare opportunity for buying all five of Ferrari’s most prestigious regular hypercar series cars in a single sale. Buying the Ferrari 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari will require around $40 million.

The “Big Five” Ferraris on offer at RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 in order of expected price:

1985 Ferrari 288 GTO

The 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO is a European specification car and the 99th of fewer than 300 produced. It is finished in Rosso Corsa, the only color available for the 288 GTO, with a Nero interior.

Remarkably, it shows only 1,541 km (~958 mi.), making it one of probably only six sub-1,000-mile Ferrari 288 GTOs in existence. It showed 1,470 kilometers (~913 miles) when imported into the USA in 2021.

1995 Ferrari F50

The 1995 Ferrari F50 was the 73rd of 349 made and one of the 55 produced for the US market. It is finished in the characteristic Rosso Corsa paint over a Nero interior with rosso seat inserts. This F50 has only 6,196 miles — seemingly undriven since its last auction sale in 2022.

This 1995 Ferrari F50, previously owned by heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, has appeared at several auctions in recent years. It sold for $4,625,000 at Gooding Pebble Beach 2022 and for $2,640,000 at RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island 2017, when it had 5,694 miles on the clock.

2003 Ferrari Enzo

The 2003 Ferrari Enzo is one of 111 US-specification cars out of a total 498 built. It is finished in the model-typical combination of Rosso Corsa paint over an interior of Rosso seats and console trim offset with a Nero dashboard and panel trim.

The estimate of $6,750,000 – $7,500,000 seems modest given the phenomenal results achieved by Enzos thus far in 2026. However, this Enzo has no real special features, and a result within those guidelines would still be high compared to prices paid only a year ago. It has a “balanced” 9,834 miles on the odometer, which is relatively high compared to the most expensive examples of this model.

2015 Ferrari LaFerrari

The 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari is a single-owner, US-specification car with only 711 miles on the clock. It is finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero top over an extra-range Nero leather interior.

1991 Ferrari F40

The 1991 Ferrari F40 was the 94th of the 213 cars produced for the US market. It was ordered directly from the factory by legendary US auto industry executive Lee Iacocca, who drove it in Italy but sold it soon after with just 72 miles on the clock. It currently displays just 320 miles.

A unique addition to this F40 is a pair of skateboard trucks installed (after 2006) under the front of the car to protect the low-slung undercarriage from common road occurrences such as steep driveways and speed bumps.

Four of the five F40s sold at major auctions in 2026 achieved more than $5 million.

First All-Electric 2026 Ferrari Luce Chassis 0 For Sale

The first-ever all-electric Ferrari, the 2026 Ferrari Luce Tailor Made Chassis 0, will be offered as a charity lot at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 sale.

This Ferrari Luce features a unique Madreperla Semi-Gloss body, using a dedicated Ferrari Tailor Made pigment to produce evolving, iridescent reflections evocative of its mother-of-pearl namesake. The interior extends this theme with exclusively developed Le Mans metallic leather in Perla and, for the first time on a Ferrari, secondary interior elements finished in Grigio Corvara. 

The presale estimate of “Value In Excess Of $1,100,000” is about double retail price but not unrealistic. At the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 auction, a 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 ‘Tailor Made’ sold for around ten times the original retail price, as the most expensive charity car ever sold at a public car auction.

Top Classic Ferraris at RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026

The most expensive Ferraris on offer at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2026 collector car auction are all modern hypercars. However, several classic Ferraris will also be on offer.

The only classic Ferrari with an upper estimate exceeding $5 million announced thus far is the 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series I, estimate $4,000,000 – $5,000,000. This Cabriolet by Pinin Farina was the 18th of only 40 produced — fewer than were made of the California Spider. New, the Cabriolet Series I was more expensive than the California Spider, but prices currently are around a third of what the more popular California Spiders sell for at auction.
