The two most expensive cars sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2026 sale were both auctioned to benefit charities: the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Stars & Steel Limited Edition and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing. The top regular result was for a mid-century classic — a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster — but most of the million-dollar results were for low-mileage, modern hypercars.

For the third time in five years, a specially donated Chevrolet Corvette sold for charity was the top result at the Barrett-Jackson January auction. In 2026, the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Stars & Steel Limited Edition was the most expensive car sold at the 2026 Barrett-Jackson collector car auction when it achieved a magnificent $2,600,000 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This nonprofit organization honors fallen first responders and supports injured veterans and their families through mortgage-free homes and financial assistance.

In 2025, the results were led by the first production 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 VIN001, which sold for $3,700,000. The same result was achieved on the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 VIN 001 70th Anniversary Edition at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2022 sale.

The top regular lot result at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2026, $2,530,000 for a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwind Coupe, turned out to be sold for charity too. Although not an official charity lot, i.e. premium and other auction costs are payable, this fully restored and matching numbers Gullwing was sold to benefit the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation, which provides emergency assistance to California Highway Patrol employees and scholarships to their children.

Most of the top results at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2026 collector car auction were for modern hypercars, as was the case a day earlier at the RM Sotheby’s and Bonhams Arizona sales (and a week earlier at Mecum Kissimmee in Florida).

However, the top non-charity result was for a popular mid-century classic: a beautifully restored metallic-blue 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster.

The modern hypercar results were led by the 422nd of 500 2019 McLaren Senna cars produced. This supercar was finished in full exposed gloss visual carbon fibre with McLaren Orange accents and driven for only 3,758 miles. Don’t ask the sellers about the performance and handling of supercars: the 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO with 531 miles and the 2021 McLaren Elva with 663 miles are basically unrun.

Several Ford GT cars from the 2017 to 2022 series were sold in the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2026 auction. These were all lightly used too, with the highest mileage for a million-dollar Ford GT only 2,130 miles. While three sold for over a million, a further three failed to reach that level.

Chevrolet donated a one-of-one 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Stars & Steel Limited Edition with a “one of one” exterior color and “Stars and Steel”-inspired design, sold for $2,600,000, as the most expensive car sold in the entire auction. Commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, this all-wheel-drive electrified ZR1X Corvette produces 1,250 horsepower from its turbocharged LT7 engine and electric front-drive unit. ZR1X is the ultimate expression of Corvette’s no-compromise eighth-generation mid-engine platform. The entire hammer price will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit organization that honors fallen first responders and supports injured veterans and their families through mortgage-free homes and financial assistance.

Ford Motor Company donated the new 2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC Track Pack Special Edition, VIN 001, to benefit Breakthrough T1D, a leading global organization funding Type 1 diabetes research. It achieved a strong $1,250,000.

The 1972 Chevrolet C50 custom pickup built by Constance Nunes of CARS by Constance “collected” $875,000, by being sold four times in succession. The truck first crossed the block for $200,000, then was donated back immediately; it sold a second time for $275,000. The winning bidder returned it for a third run, raising another $250,000. In an extraordinary, history‑making moment, the C50 was donated back yet again and sold for a fourth time, adding $150,000 more to the cause. In total, $875,000 was raised for the ForeBatten Foundation, which delivers hope, funds critical research, and supports families while helping give children affected by Batten disease the best possible life and shining a vital spotlight on the urgency to find new treatments.

  • The custom 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air benefited the TechForce Foundation through the CRC Build for the Future Scholarship Program.
  • The 2025 Indian Sport Chief RT Motorcycle benefited Folds of Honor, a nonprofit that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members and first responders.
  • The 1965 Ford Mustang convertible Resto-Mod benefited notMYkid, which provides prevention, early intervention, and counseling support to youth and families through school-based education, mental health services, and parent resources for challenges, including substance use, mental health struggles, stress, anxiety, depression, peer pressure, and digital well-being.
  • A 2004 AM General Humvee M1152A1 benefited The Fighter Country Foundation, which supports the men, women, and families of Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
  • A 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon benefited Richard Rawlings’ Gas Monkey Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting first responders and advancing the fight against Alzheimer’s.
  • The 2005 Ford GT benefited the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation, which is dedicated to raising brain health awareness and resources to support people and families who are dealing with Alzheimer’s disease or concussion diagnosis.

Several further cars in the regular auction were also sold to benefit charities. However, these non-official charity lots were subject to the normal auction premium and other related charges.
